Project Name:	TANF - CSBG
Key Benefits:	Individuals seeking independence from public assistance were granted a rare opportunity to gain meaningful work experience, career skill-sets and financial emancipation away from subsidies and assistance. Approximately 45 individuals were allotted 18 months of work that did not count against their TANF payments. The following non-profit agencies that participated in this initiative include: Covenant Point Institute, St. Croix Animal Welfare, Beyond Vision Foundation, Lutheran Social Services, and Ten Thousand Helpers. This was beneficial to the Territory and promoted economic prosperity during a time of economic downturn
